From the Superintendent:

Welcome to the Gatesville ISD web site. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the faculty, staff, and administrators, I welcome you to Gatesville Independent School District. Gatesville ISD has the reputation of being successful and is ready to face the future challenges with a determination to make sure every child in the district is “successful and feels good about themselves.”

Gatesville ISD is a safe place for children and one that is conducive to learning. One of the goals is to make sure your children are provided the best education available and receive it in a safe and secure environment. Our students are well-educated and responsible citizens who are self-reliant and support quality education. Our kids possess integrity and know the difference between right and wrong. Our students are winners and are successful in every activity.

Gatesville schools have received prestigious awards in the past that prove this is an outstanding district with high morals and educational strengths. The leadership from the principals of your district is above reproach. They are caring and dedicated individuals with goals for their individual campuses that are in line with student successes. Our faculty and staff are highly dedicated individuals that work extremely diligently with every child on our campuses to make sure they are safe, learning and being successful.

The course offerings at Gatesville ISD include AP courses and more are being planned in the near future. Our vocational programs are growing and we are developing new criteria that will only help to enhance those involved. Technology is staying on the cutting edge of producing productive citizens for our community. Gatesville ISD has had and will be striving for even more achievements in the areas of academics, fine arts, and athletics.

Plans for the new addition to our high school have been finalized and construction will soon begin on our state-of-the-art Culinary Arts Department. We will have one of the finest life skill facilities in the area and will make every effort to provide the best education for all our students involved. This addition is just a small continued effort by our board and the community to provide not only the best facilities available but to continue operating with the most caring and dedicated staff for children.

Gatesville ISD has accomplished much over the past several years and has faced the many new challenges with determination and stamina. The conservative values, high morals, determination, and dedication of everyone involved with Gatesville ISD will continue to make Gatesville ISD stand out as an “Outstanding District” and one of the finest institutions in the State of Texas.
