Spring Drivers' Education Offered to GISD Students
 
 Drivers' Education classes will be offered by Gatesville ISD during the spring semester. The classes will begin Monday, March 22nd, at 5:00 p.m. at Gatesville High School. The last class will be Thursday, April 22nd.
 
Classes will be Monday thru Thursday from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in classroom #1, which is across the hall from the main office.
 
Students must be 15 years of age on or before 4-22-2010 to take the classroom portion of drivers' education. Students cannot drive until they are 15 years of age.
 
Class will be open to the first 22 Gatesville ISD students that sign up with Ms. Smart and pay the $350 fee. Payment must be either money order or cash. No personal check will be accepted. Payment plans may be worked out with the school, but the entire fee must be paid in full before the 10th day of class.
 
On March 22, there will be a mandatory meeting for parents of the students enrolled in drivers' education to complete necessary forms.
 
Before students can take their permit test, they will need the following items:
  •  original or a certified copy of birth certificate
  • actual social security card, and
  • verification of enrollment form from the school (VOE form)
The classroom instructor will be Ronnie Russell, and the driving instructor will be Linda Berridge.
