1. What is the criteria for enrolling in GISD Pre-K?

Pre-K students must be four years-old by September 1 of that year to enroll. Students must also meet financial criteria through the Federal Nutrition program, or language criteria, or be from a military family. Please contact the Primary School campus for more information at 254-865-7264.

2. How old must a child be to enroll in Kindergarten?

Kindergarten students must be five years-old by September 1 of that year to enroll. Please contact the Primary School campus at 254-865-7264 for more information about our Kindergarten Round-up.

3. Which campus will my child attend?

Primary School (PK-K) -- 254-865-7264

Elementary School (1st-3rd) -- 254-865-7262

Intermediate School (4th-6th) -- 254-865-2526

Gatesville Junior High (7th-8th) -- 254-865-8271

Gatesville High School (9th-12th) -- 254-865-8281

4. How do I enroll my child?

Report to the campus office and the campus registrar will assist you.

5. What paperwork do I need to enroll?

Please present to the campus office with the following:

Proof of Residency (electric bill, water bill, rental agreement, lease, etc.)

Student Birth Certificate

Student Social Security Card

Student Immunization Records

Withdrawal form from previous school (if moving from another district)
