DYSLEXIA

Re: Texas Primary Reading Instrument (TPRI) & Talking Books

The TPRI is a highly reliable early reading assessment designed to identify the reading development of students in kindergarten through third grade. This diagnostic instrument is an easy to use one-on-one assessment which helps teachers identify reading difficulties, provide targeted reading instruction, and screen for students who could be at-risk for dyslexia. Talking Books is a FREE service that allows students with reading difficulties the opportunity to read. They offer more than 125,000 titles and 80 plus magazines, all read with human narration. Materials can be downloaded via the Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD) Mobile app, on a smartphone or tablet. The program is completely free, with no charges and no overdue fees. The website has been included below.
