What should I do if my child is interested in extracurricular activities/clubs?
MIC3 Eligibility for Extracurricular Participation: State and local education agencies shall facilitate the opportunity for transitioning military children’s inclusion in extracurricular activities, regardless of application deadlines, with consultation with the State high school athletic association, to the extent they are otherwise qualified. Application deadlines include tryouts, summer conditioning and other coach or district prerequisites.
Students/Parents are welcome to contact the school and their information will be given to the sponsors of the extra-curricular activities and clubs so that they can be included in them. You can also get into contact with the campus based military liaison and they will give you more information.
Is help available if my child is struggling academically with the transition?
If your child is struggling academically, please reach out to your child's teacher so that targeted support can be provided during their daily intervention time.
In addition, the following Tutor website has free tutoring for military connected students.
