Gatesville Independent School District

These documents can be uploaded during the online registration process, or they can be brought to the school so copies can be made. 

Please gather the following documents for Online Registration:

• A student entering Gatesville ISD for the first time:
• Photo Identification of parent/guardian (current Driver's License/State ID)
• Student's Social Security card 
• Certified copy of birth certificate 
• Immunization record - be sure to include all shots, check additional pages when uploading
• Proof of Residency within GISD boundaries (provided annually) - a current utility bill or rental/lease in parents' or guardians' names.
  • Acceptable proof of residency requires the following Items:
  • §  A copy of a current or previous month utility bill (electric, gas, or water), which shows the services provided to the residence, and the parent/guardian's name
  • §  A current lease showing parent/guardian name as lessee or tenant (will need to follow up with a utility bill once received)
  • §  Current closing documents on house in parent/guardian name - within the same month (will need to follow up with a utility bill once received)
  • §  A notarized "Residency Affidavit" with whom the student resides, along with a utility bill of services received, dated within the last 30 days from the homeowner/lessee, along with the homeowner/lessee's ID.
• PreK students must be age 4 by September 1 and must meet the eligibility requirements to qualify, and documentation must be provided.
• KG -12th Grade Students - Withdrawal form from previous school(preferred)​​​​​
• 1st-6th Grade Students - Report card from previous school
• 7th-12th Grade Student - Report card and transcript (of high school credits) from previous school​​​​
